Happy Winter Solstice!

Winter Sun ~ Malibu, CA ~ December 2015

Dear Beautiful Reader ~

Happy Winter Solstice!  Today marks the “rebirth” of the sun in the Northern Hemisphere, heralding the return of the sun. Each day, after this shortest day of light, the sun will shine a bit longer until we reach the Summer Solstice.

John Matthews sums up the Winter Solstice beautifully:

“The Solstice is a time of quietude, of firelight, and dreaming, when seeds germinate in the cold earth, and the cold notes of church bells mingle with the chimes of icicles. Rivers are stilled and the land lies waiting beneath a coverlet of snow. We watch the cold sunlight and the bright stars, maybe go for walks in the quiet land. . . . All around us the season seems to reach a standstill — a point of repose.”

And for a little musical interlude to celebrate this time of germination and repose, Simon & Garfunkle’s “The Sound of Silence”, dovetails rather nicely…

Today marks the beginning of renewed light and every single cell in your body will feel rejuvenated and animated by the light of the sun. This is truly something to celebrate!

May you always feel the warmth of the sun in your heart and spread that beautiful light all over the place!

Wishing everyone a bright new season of creativity and inner growth.

“In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer. And that makes me happy. For it says that no matter how hard the world pushes against me, within me, there’s something stronger – something better, pushing right back.”

~ Albert Camus
