Keeping Things In Perspective

Sometimes, life can be overwhelming. We are beings created with emotions:  energy in motion. Our emotions bring us to the heights of ecstasy and also cause us to plummet into the depths of despair. We choose it all – both the ecstasy and the despair. We choose to feel engulfed in emotional overloads…because we find something vaguely familiar about it. And, as creatures of habit, we crave familiarity. We unfortunately feel our moments of bliss are few and far between, and sometimes, mistakenly, feel we don’t deserve to be blissed out all the time. We forget that joy is our birthright.

But, fortunately, there is a better path. What is this golden path? It’s the path of keeping things in perspective – an expanded perspective. It’s the path of remembering what we truly deserve…which is every good thing. We live in a universe of endless possibilities. Since the universe is limitless, and, we are a part of this ever expanding universe, so are our possibilities, our options and our joys. Every single one of our dreams were placed in our hearts for them to come true.

One simple way to implement this is to look up at the sky. Look up! The night sky, in particular, creates a feeling of expansion and  empowerment. The astrophysicist,  Neal deGrasse Tyson encapsulates this quite beautifully:

“I look up at the night sky, and I know that, yes, we are part of this Universe, we are in this Universe, but perhaps more important than both of those facts is that the Universe is in us. When I reflect on that fact, I look up—many people feel small, because they’re small and the Universe is big, but I feel big, because my atoms came from those stars.”

Recently, NASA released an awe-inspiring video of the nearby galaxy Andromeda. Watching this spectacular video creates transcendence of thought, leading to a deeper connection with higher consciousness. Watching this helps us all to keep things in perspective:

So, remember to stay in your power and…
